Every AI application eventually hits the same wall. it needs to reach outside itself - check a calendar, read a document, query a database, send a message. For years, that meant a custom integration for every tool, for every AI application, rebuilt from scratch each time and broken again the moment an API changed.

MCP - the Model Context Protocol - fixes that. It's an open standard that lets any MCP-compatible AI application talk to any MCP-compatible tool through one common protocol, often described as "USB-C for AI." This course takes you from zero to production with MCP - not just theory, but real, hands-on demos for every concept. You'll start by understanding exactly what problem MCP solves and why it exists (with simple analogies, not just documentation-speak), then go deep into its architecture - Host, Client, Server - its three core primitives (Tools, Resources, Prompts), how messages actually travel under the hood, and how the protocol itself keeps evolving.

Then you'll build. Using n8n as your hands-on platform, you'll create your own MCP servers exposing real capabilities — Google Calendar, AWS S3, Google Drive - as tools an AI agent can call. You'll connect to free, publicly available MCP servers like Context7 and DeepWiki without writing a single line of server code. And in the final section, you'll close the loop entirely: connecting Claude directly to n8n over MCP, in both directions - Claude calling your workflows as tools, and Claude building and troubleshooting workflows inside your own instance.
