The ISTQB is one of the world's most recognized certifications for software testing. In the last few years, it has become the standard for most applicants looking to break into the world of testing.

ISTQB is the International Software Testing Qualifications Board. It is composed of representatives from each existing national board. The ISTQB decides on the standards for certification and accreditation as an ISTQB accredited training provider.

The ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification provides essential testing knowledge that can be put to practical use and, very importantly, explains the terminology and concepts that are used worldwide in the testing domain.

The ISTQB offers testers a standardized set of terms, processes, and procedures that finesse your curious mind and book finding abilities. And whilst you absolutely can become a software tester without it, I'm going to show you how you can elevate your application to the top of the pile.

How long is ISTQB certification valid?

Certification is valid for life (Foundation Level and Advanced Level), and there is no requirement for recertification. ISTQB Member boards are responsible for the quality and the auditing of the examination.

Is there negative marking in ISTQB foundation level?

There is no negative marking in the exam.
