Troubleshooter: Solve Complex Business Problems, 440+ Tools
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
A project is falling apart, deadlines are burning, the team argues about who is to blame, and after an hour there is still no solution. Everyone treats the symptoms while the real cause stays hidden. Here are 441 tools to work like a troubleshooter: 317 ready-to-use procedures, templates, checklists, question lists, matrices and AI prompts, 96 models and methods, 12 services shown on screen and 16 working files.
Open a lecture, take the method, apply it to the problem on your desk.
Why hard problems stay unsolved
The group discusses the first explanation that sounds plausible. Nobody separates symptoms from causes, so the fix addresses the wrong thing. Options are limited to what was tried before, the loudest person decides, and the decision is never turned into a plan with owners and checks.
What changes after this course
You frame the problem before solving it, find the root cause with evidence and structure the analysis so nothing is missed. You generate options beyond the obvious, run the group session that chooses one, and turn it into a project, a process change and a defended decision.

Who is teaching
I am Mike, the #1 HR instructor on Udemy, with 1,800,000+ course enrollments from 170,000 students, and the author of about 200 books on Amazon. I built the people system at Preply as it became a unicorn and worked at Wargaming, iDeals and Alfa-Bank across 20 years in HR. I hold PHRi, SHRM-CP and HCI sHRBP certifications and represent HRCI in Eastern Europe. I am also a founder and lead the strategy of my own academy.
At Wargaming, when people started leaving, leaders assumed the problem was pay and wanted to raise salaries. I proposed research first: an employer value proposition survey and stay interviews showed that the real problem was internal communication, not pay. At Alfa-Bank, high turnover among cashiers fell from about 40% to 25% after we introduced an intermediate lead cashier position with slightly higher pay.
How to use the course
Start with the four troubleshooting sections and apply them to one real problem, then use project management, process optimisation or business analysis when the solution needs them. Section and lecture titles show how many tools are inside, and each lecture description lists them by name.
What is included
- 41 lectures across 9 sections, 20 hours
- 56 downloadable resources: lecture presentations and 16 working files
- 441 tools across the lessons
- Lifetime access to all materials
- Active instructor support in the Q&A section
- A Udemy Certificate of Completion
